Carla Troncoso of Mamacita Yoga

A little more about me, I am Mexican American and was born in Brownsville, which is a little town in South Texas.

Before my yoga and fitness life, I worked in the food industry as a Pastry Chef. Working long hours in bakeries is what led me to my yoga journey. Working these long hours led to back pain and mental stress. I found a yoga studio that I loved in 2015, and it changed my world.

I felt stronger mentally and physically practicing, but I also found an amazing community. I felt so connected that I wanted to become a yoga instructor myself to teach others this way of life.

I have been teaching for 8-plus years now and absolutely love it. After 5 years of teaching at a big yoga studio, I decided to start my own business, Mamacita Yoga, in 2019.

I have a passion for helping mothers-to-be, and I wanted to create a space just for them. I felt like prenatal yoga was an “add-on” to many studios and was not a focus. I want to change that!

I offer mostly prenatal yoga, but I also have mommy and baby classes and couples prenatal yoga in the DFW area.

I would love to be a part of your journey to motherhood! It can be overwhelming on your own, but here you will connect with the community of Mamacita’s experiencing similar joys and concerns.

I’m looking forward to meeting you and Baby!
